Description

Layer Greek yogurt with crunchy cereal and fresh winter berries for a protein-packed breakfast ready in 5 minutes. This is a perfect grab-and-go meal for busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup fresh raspberries
  • ¼ cup pomegranate arils
  • 1 cup granola or crunchy flake cereal
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Whisk together Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until smooth and well combined.
  2. Rinse all berries under cold water and pat dry with paper towels, then dice strawberries into small pieces.
  3. Combine all berries and pomegranate arils in a separate bowl and gently toss together.
  4. Spoon 3 tablespoons of the yogurt mixture into the bottom of each of 4 clear cups or jars.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of the mixed berry layer on top of the yogurt in each cup.
  6. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of granola or cereal over the berries in each cup.
  7. Repeat layering once more: yogurt, berries, then finish with a final layer of cereal and sliced almonds on top.
  8. Drizzle each cup with an additional teaspoon of honey if desired for extra sweetness.
  9. Serve immediately for maximum cereal crunch, or refrigerate covered for up to 8 hours keeping temperatures below 40°F.

Notes

  • Replace fresh berries with thawed frozen mixed berries when fresh are not available.
  • Use vanilla Greek yogurt instead of plain and skip the honey for a simpler prep.
  • Swap granola for crushed graham crackers, cornflakes, or your favorite crunchy cereal.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds to the yogurt layer for extra fiber and omega-3s.
  • Use dairy-free coconut yogurt or almond yogurt for a plant-based version.
  • Layer in sliced bananas or diced pears for additional winter fruit variety.
  • Choose full-fat Greek yogurt for the creamiest texture and most satisfying flavor.
  • Add the cereal layer just before serving if making ahead to keep it crunchy.
  • Use clear cups or mason jars to show off the beautiful layers.
  • Slightly mash a few berries with a fork before layering to create natural fruit syrup.
  • Prep yogurt mixture and berry mixture separately the night before, then assemble quickly in the morning.
