Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until dough forms. Knead by hand for 8-10 minutes or use a stand mixer for 5-6 minutes.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours, or until doubled.
- Punch down dough and shape into a loaf. Place on a greased baking sheet or loaf pan.
- Mix minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, and fresh herbs in a small bowl.
- Brush shaped dough with olive oil and sprinkle the garlic-Parmesan-herb mixture on top.
- Let dough rise for 30-40 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
