Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until dough forms. Knead by hand for 8-10 minutes or use a stand mixer for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours, or until doubled.
  4. Punch down dough and shape into a loaf. Place on a greased baking sheet or loaf pan.
  5. Mix minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, and fresh herbs in a small bowl.
