Description
Juicy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers basted in rich garlic butter. Ready quickly using your Air Fryer or oven. This recipe produces tender chicken bites seasoned perfectly, ideal for casual meals or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes) or metal skewers
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Toss the chicken cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Thread the seasoned chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving small spaces between the pieces.
- If using an Air Fryer, preheat it to 400°F (200°C). Place skewers in a single layer and air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- If using an Oven, preheat it to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange skewers on the sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, flipping once.
- Verify the chicken reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- Brush the hot cooked skewers generously with the garlic parmesan butter mixture right before you serve them.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before use to prevent burning.
- Cut chicken into uniform 1-inch pieces for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; allow air to circulate around the skewers.
- Let the skewers rest for 2–3 minutes after basting to allow flavors to set.
- For a creamier sauce, stir 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise into the melted butter mixture.
- Add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon zest to the butter for a bright flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
