Description
Savory, quick noodle bowls with tender beef, garlic, and a rich soy ginger sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces lo mein noodles
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and cook noodles per package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Add beef in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
- Add garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour soy sauce mixture into the skillet and simmer gently.
- Cook the sauce for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Add steamed broccoli or sliced bell peppers in the last minute of cooking for extra vegetables.
