Description

Satisfy your sweet tooth with these safe-to-eat Edible Cookie Dough Bites. They are egg-free and made with heat-treated flour, creating a perfect no-bake treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup mini candy coated chocolate gems (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread the flour onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Bake the flour at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes until the temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  3. Cool the flour completely, then sift it into a bowl.
  4. Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the cooled, heat-treated flour, mixing on low speed until soft dough forms; add more milk if too dry.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips and optional gems by hand.
  8. Scoop the dough by the tablespoon and roll into smooth balls.
  9. Place the bites on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  10. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Heat treating the flour is a critical safety step.
  • Sifting the flour after baking removes clumps and ensures smooth texture.
  • Use mini chocolate chips for a better chocolate ratio in each bite.
  • If the dough is too soft, chill the bowl for 15 minutes before rolling.
  • Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Freeze for up to 3 months.
