Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey sausage
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 half teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 half teaspoon onion powder
- 1 half teaspoon black pepper
- 1 quarter teaspoon salt
- 1 quarter teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey sausage and cook while breaking it into small crumbles. Cook for about 6 to 8 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
- Add butter to the skillet with the sausage and allow it to melt completely.
- Sprinkle the flour evenly over the sausage mixture and stir continuously for about 1 minute to create a thick base.
- Slowly pour in the milk while stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and paprika. Stir well to combine.
- Continue cooking while stirring frequently for about 5 to 7 minutes until the gravy thickens and becomes creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot over biscuits or toast.
Notes
- If the gravy becomes too thick, stir in a small splash of milk until the desired consistency is reached.
