Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces semisweet baking chocolate chopped
  • 1/4 cup hot brewed coffee or water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 8 ounces cream cheese very soft
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt


Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom and line the base with parchment paper. Place pan on a baking sheet.
  2. Add chocolate, coffee, sugar, and butter to a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until melted and smooth. Cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk cocoa powder into the chocolate mixture, then whisk in eggs, vanilla powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in flour just until combined. Reserve 1/4 cup of the batter and spread the rest evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. In a bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth, then whisk in caramel sauce, egg, vanilla powder, and salt until fully blended.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the brownie base.
  7. Spoon reserved brownie batter over the top and gently swirl with a knife to create a marbled pattern.
  8. Bake for 22 to 28 minutes until the center is set and no longer jiggly.
  9. Cool completely in the pan, then remove the tart and slice to serve.
