Deliciously gooey and satisfying banana oatmeal bars, perfect for a quick snack or grab-and-go breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups mashed bananas (about 3 ripe ones)
- ½ cup your favorite nut butter
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 cup chocolate chips (plus more for topping)
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the bars are set.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Using very ripe bananas will yield the best flavor and sweetness.
