Description

Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are a fun, simple, and stress-free recipe perfect for beginners. These bite-sized salmon pieces are coated in a spicy, creamy Bang Bang sauce and cooked until perfectly crispy. They make a fantastic appetizer or a quick weeknight meal. You’ll love how easy they are to prepare and how delicious they taste!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds salmon fillets (skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional garnish)
  • Green onions, sliced (optional garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry and cut into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Drizzle salmon with olive oil and toss with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, and lime juice until smooth to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  4. Cook the salmon pieces in a hot non-stick skillet in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy.
  5. Alternatively, cook in an air fryer at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway. Or, bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, broiling for the last 1–2 minutes.
  6. Drizzle or toss the crispy salmon bites in the Bang Bang sauce until coated.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro, sliced green onions, or sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Patting the salmon dry is key for achieving maximum crispiness.
  • Adjust the sauce to your taste; add more sriracha for heat, honey for sweetness, or lime juice for tang.
  • For a lighter sauce, substitute Greek yogurt for some or all of the mayonnaise.
  • If gluten sensitivity is a concern, ensure all sauce ingredients are certified gluten-free.
