- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional garnish)
- Green onions, sliced (optional garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Pat salmon dry and cut into bite-sized cubes.
- Drizzle salmon with olive oil and toss with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, and lime juice until smooth to make the Bang Bang sauce.
- Cook the salmon pieces in a hot non-stick skillet in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy.
- Alternatively, cook in an air fryer at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway. Or, bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, broiling for the last 1–2 minutes.
- Drizzle or toss the crispy salmon bites in the Bang Bang sauce until coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro, sliced green onions, or sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Patting the salmon dry is key for achieving maximum crispiness.
- Adjust the sauce to your taste; add more sriracha for heat, honey for sweetness, or lime juice for tang.
- For a lighter sauce, substitute Greek yogurt for some or all of the mayonnaise.
- If gluten sensitivity is a concern, ensure all sauce ingredients are certified gluten-free.
