Description
A rich, spicy, and creamy gochujang pasta that blends Korean heat with Italian comfort—ready in 20 minutes for a flavor-packed meal.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti or fettuccine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or sliced scallions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in gochujang and cook for 1 minute to release its aroma and deepen the flavor.
- Lower heat and pour in heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Add Parmesan cheese and whisk until melted into a silky sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Taste and adjust with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley or scallions.
- Serve warm as a main course or alongside roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
- Use gochujang sparingly at first if you prefer mild heat—it’s easy to adjust spiciness by adding more gradually.
