Description
A no-bake butterscotch pie with a graham cracker crust, rich and creamy filling, and topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant butterscotch pudding mix
- 1½ cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1½ cups whipped cream or Cool Whip
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- Optional: chopped peanuts or pecans
Instructions
- For the crust, mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie plate. Chill it in the fridge while you make the filling.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, milk, and heavy cream until it begins to thicken. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Combine the cream cheese mixture with the pudding and beat until fully incorporated.
- Pour the butterscotch filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula. Chill the pie for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is firm.
- Once set, top with whipped cream, drizzle with caramel sauce, and garnish with chopped nuts if desired. Enjoy
Notes
- This pie is best served chilled.
- For a firmer crust, bake it for 8-10 minutes before chilling.
- You can substitute other cookie crumbs for graham crackers.
