Ingredients
- For the Filling: 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating: 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For the Rollups: 8 slices soft white sandwich bread, crusts removed
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla bean paste until smooth and creamy.
- In a shallow bowl, stir together the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread until thin and flexible.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each bread slice.
- Roll each slice tightly into a log shape and place seam-side down.
- Dip each rollup into the melted butter, coating all sides.
- Roll the buttered bread in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Arrange the rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown and crisp around the edges.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.
