These cottage cheese chocolate chip cookies are soft, tender, and lightly sweet with a boost of protein from creamy cottage cheese. They bake up fluffy with melty chocolate chips in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese, blended until smooth
- 1 3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 4 cup maple syrup
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 2 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 1 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together blended cottage cheese, sugar, maple syrup, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet using about 2 tablespoons per cookie, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
