Ingredients
- 1 lb cooked boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped small
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 ¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup Frank’s Red hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 green onion for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cottage cheese (you can blend it first if you prefer), 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, hot sauce, and garlic powder.
- Mix everything well and transfer the mixture to a small casserole dish or any oven-proof dish.
- Smooth out the top and sprinkle with the remaining ¼ cup of cheddar cheese, or add more if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, until the dip is bubbly.
- For a browned and crispy top, turn on the broiler for the last 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove the dip from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and serve with fresh veggie sticks or tortilla chips.
Notes
- Blending the cottage cheese beforehand can result in a smoother dip texture.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your preferred level of spice.
- Broiling time can vary; monitor closely to achieve desired crispiness without burning.
