Description
This copycat Chipotle vinaigrette is smoky, tangy, and lightly sweet using honey and chipotle peppers. Blend it easily at home in minutes for your salads and bowls.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon fine salt
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1 tablespoon adobo sauce from the can
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
Instructions
- Add the red wine vinegar, honey, water, salt, chipotle peppers, and adobo sauce to a blender or food processor.
- Blend on high until completely smooth.
- With the machine running, slowly drizzle in the vegetable oil until the dressing emulsifies and thickens.
- Stop the blender and add the oregano and black pepper. Pulse briefly just to combine.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Transfer the vinaigrette to a sealed container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
Notes
- Shake well before serving.
- Store refrigerated for up to 4 days.
