Description

A fresh and zesty pico de gallo recipe that perfectly mimics the flavors of Chipotle’s popular salsa. Easy to make for beginners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb vine-ripened or Roma tomatoes, diced
  • ⅓ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2-3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼-1/2 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Combine tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and jalapenos in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Add 1 tbsp each of lemon and lime juice and ¼ tsp salt.
  3. Taste and adjust lemon juice, lime juice, and salt as needed.
  4. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • For a milder pico, remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapenos.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapenos to your spice preference.
