A fresh and zesty pico de gallo recipe that perfectly mimics the flavors of Chipotle’s popular salsa. Easy to make for beginners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb vine-ripened or Roma tomatoes, diced
- ⅓ cup onion, finely chopped
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2-3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
- 1-2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1-2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼-1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and jalapenos in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Add 1 tbsp each of lemon and lime juice and ¼ tsp salt.
- Taste and adjust lemon juice, lime juice, and salt as needed.
- Serve and enjoy.
Notes
- For a milder pico, remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapenos.
- Adjust the amount of jalapenos to your spice preference.
- This pico de gallo is best served fresh.
