Description

Sweet churro cream cheese bars with cinnamon sugar and creamy filling. An easy bakery-style dessert perfect for parties or family treats.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
  2. Roll out one can of crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish, sealing any seams.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla flavoring until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough layer.
  5. Roll out the second can of crescent dough and place it over the filling, gently pressing to cover.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter.
  7. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the top layer.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
  9. Let cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • Chill the bars for cleaner slices and a firmer texture before serving.
