Description

A simple and comforting dish of tender chicken served over buttery, garlicky noodles. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or pasta water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F/74°C).
  3. Remove chicken from skillet, cover, and let rest.
  4. Cook noodles in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
  6. Add chicken broth or reserved pasta water to the skillet, stirring to combine with the butter and garlic.
  7. Add drained noodles to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Stir in parmesan cheese if using. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Slice or serve chicken whole over the buttered noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts.
  • Adjust seasonings to your preference.
  • The reserved pasta water or chicken broth adds creaminess and flavor to the sauce.
