This chicken caesar burger is juicy, savory, and packed with classic Caesar flavor. It offers a fresh twist on chicken burgers, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds ground chicken
- 1/3 cup finely grated parmesan style hard cheese
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (for sauce)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped romaine lettuce
- 4 burger buns toasted
- 4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Combine ground chicken, grated cheese, panko, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties about 3/4 inch thick.
- Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Cook the patties for 6 to 7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Place cheese slices on the patties during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
- Stir together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder in a small bowl to make the sauce.
- Spread sauce on the bottom buns. Top with chicken patties, romaine lettuce, and the top buns.
- Serve immediately.
