Description

Burger bowls with baked fries, seasoned beef, fresh veggies, and a creamy homemade sauce. A satisfying comfort meal in bowl form.

Ingredients

  • For the Baked Fries: 2 large russet potatoes cut into 1/2 inch thick fries, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • For the Burger Sauce: 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickles, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • For the Beef: 1 pound ground beef 85 percent lean, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • For the Bowls: 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce, 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved, 1/2 small red onion thinly sliced, 1/2 cup sliced dill pickles, 1 large avocado sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Spread them in a single layer, leaving space between fries.
  3. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp on the edges.
  4. While the fries bake, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, ketchup, chopped pickles, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 1 to 2 minutes more if needed until the beef reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees F. Remove from heat.
  7. Divide romaine lettuce among four bowls. Top each with baked fries, cooked beef, cherry tomatoes, red onion, pickles, and sliced avocado.
  8. Drizzle with burger sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Cook ground beef to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F as measured with a meat thermometer to ensure it is safe to eat.
