Description
These brown sugar overnight oats are creamy, comforting, and made without yogurt. A simple make-ahead breakfast with banana and cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 4 tablespoons chia seeds
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup mashed ripe banana
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- Add rolled oats, chia seeds, brown sugar, mashed banana, cinnamon, and salt to a large mixing bowl.
- Pour in the milk and stir until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Divide the mixture evenly between four jars or containers with lids.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until thickened.
- Stir the oats well before serving to redistribute the moisture.
- Serve cold or warm briefly in the microwave if desired.
Notes
- Using very ripe bananas creates the creamiest texture and the best natural sweetness.
