Description
Classic brigadeiro truffles made with condensed milk and cocoa. Rich, fudgy Brazilian chocolate treats made with just a few ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat.
- Add the condensed milk and cocoa powder. Whisk until completely smooth.
- Cook the mixture, stirring constantly with a spatula, for 10 to 12 minutes until thickened and pulling away from the sides of the pan.
- Remove from the heat. Transfer the mixture to a shallow bowl.
- Let the mixture cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Then, refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm enough to handle.
- Scoop small portions. Roll into 1 inch balls using lightly buttered hands.
- Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles until fully coated.
- Place on a lined tray. Chill for 15 minutes before serving.
