Description

Classic brigadeiro truffles made with condensed milk and cocoa. Rich, fudgy Brazilian chocolate treats made with just a few ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup chocolate sprinkles


Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat.
  2. Add the condensed milk and cocoa powder. Whisk until completely smooth.
  3. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly with a spatula, for 10 to 12 minutes until thickened and pulling away from the sides of the pan.
  4. Remove from the heat. Transfer the mixture to a shallow bowl.
  5. Let the mixture cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Then, refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm enough to handle.
  6. Scoop small portions. Roll into 1 inch balls using lightly buttered hands.
  7. Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles until fully coated.
  8. Place on a lined tray. Chill for 15 minutes before serving.
