Description
This recipe makes a Brazilian Mounjaro drink. It combines traditional ingredients for a unique beverage.
Ingredients
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon butterfly pea flowers
- 1 teaspoon yerba mate tea
- ½ teaspoon camu camu powder
- ½ teaspoon ginger extract or grated fresh ginger
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)
- A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
- ½ teaspoon psyllium husk fiber (optional)
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a near boil.
- Add butterfly pea flowers and yerba mate tea to the hot water and steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the mixture to remove solid ingredients.
- Stir in camu camu powder and ginger extract (or grated ginger).
- Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon and mix well.
- Let the tea cool slightly before adding apple cider vinegar.
- If desired, stir in raw honey for sweetness.
- Drink warm or let cool and pour over ice for a refreshing version.
- Garnish with mint leaves or a cinnamon stick for enhanced flavor.
Notes
- Adjust honey and cayenne to your taste.
- Psyllium husk fiber can be added for extra fiber.
