Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage or chicken sausage (halal alternative)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Bisquick mix, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder until smooth.
  4. Spread the cooked sausage evenly in the baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle cheese, bell peppers, and onions over the sausage.
  6. Pour the Bisquick mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and golden brown.
