Ingredients
- 1 lb breakfast sausage or chicken sausage (halal alternative)
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup Bisquick mix
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Bisquick mix, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Spread the cooked sausage evenly in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle cheese, bell peppers, and onions over the sausage.
- Pour the Bisquick mixture evenly over the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken sausage for a halal option.
