Description
This simple chicken marinade makes any cut tender, juicy, and full of flavor with lemon, garlic, honey, and herbs. Perfect for grilling or baking.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl or zip-top bag, whisk together olive oil, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, oregano, pepper, and salt until combined.
- Add chicken and turn to coat well. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat grill, skillet, or oven to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Discard the used marinade.
- Cook chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F for breasts and thighs.
- Transfer to a plate and rest for 3 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
