Description
Make juicy BBQ chicken thighs in the oven or on the grill with a sweet smoky flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken thighs bone in skin on
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 half teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F or preheat grill to medium heat.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with salt pepper and paprika.
- Rub with olive oil and place on a baking sheet or directly on the grill.
- For oven method bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- For grill method cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side until nicely charred and fully cooked to 165°F.
- In a small bowl mix barbecue sauce honey and garlic powder.
- Brush the sauce over the chicken during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

- Always cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F to ensure it is safe to eat.
