BBQ Chicken Thighs Oven or Grill

Description

Make juicy BBQ chicken thighs in the oven or on the grill with a sweet smoky flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs bone in skin on
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 half teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F or preheat grill to medium heat.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with salt pepper and paprika.
  3. Rub with olive oil and place on a baking sheet or directly on the grill.
  4. For oven method bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. For grill method cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side until nicely charred and fully cooked to 165°F.
  6. In a small bowl mix barbecue sauce honey and garlic powder.
  7. Brush the sauce over the chicken during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  8. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

  • Always cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F to ensure it is safe to eat.
