Ingredients
- 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently roll it out into a rectangular shape, about 1/2-inch thick.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon sugar mixture (mix equal parts brown sugar and cinnamon) over the dough and roll it up tightly into a log.
- Cut the log into 1-inch thick rolls and place them in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the rolls are baking, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the top and serve warm.
