Description
Easy baked banana oatmeal bars are a simple and healthy treat perfect for breakfast or snacks. They use common ingredients and are great for beginners.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup mix-ins (chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas. Add almond milk, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
- In another bowl, mix rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir until combined. Fold in mix-ins if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly, then lift out with parchment paper. Slice into bars.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness.
- Almond milk can be substituted with any milk you prefer.
