Description

Make apple nachos with peanut butter drizzle and granola in 10 minutes. This is a fun, healthy snack loaded with crisp apples and crunchy toppings, perfect for a quick treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 large crisp apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons warm water
  • ¾ cup granola
  • ⅓ cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Core apples and slice into ¼-inch thick rounds or wedges, keeping the skin on.
  2. Place apple slices in a large bowl and toss gently with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Arrange apple slices on a large serving platter in overlapping layers, building 2 to 3 levels for a nacho effect.
  4. Combine peanut butter and honey in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 20 to 30 seconds until warm and fluid.
  5. Stir 2 to 3 tablespoons of warm water into the peanut butter mixture, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches a smooth drizzleable consistency.
  6. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture over the arranged apple slices in a zigzag pattern.
  7. Sprinkle granola evenly over the entire platter.
  8. Scatter mini dark chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and sliced almonds across the top.
  9. Finish with a light dusting of ground cinnamon and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Replace peanut butter with almond butter, sunflower seed butter, or cashew butter for different flavors.
  • Use maple syrup instead of honey for a deeper sweetness in the drizzle.
  • Swap dried cranberries for raisins, chopped dates, or dried blueberries.
  • Add shredded coconut, chia seeds, or hemp hearts to the toppings for extra nutrition.
  • Assemble just before serving to keep granola crunchy and apples crisp.
