Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1–2 tbsp hot sauce (such as sriracha or your favorite brand)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
- Pat the chicken thighs completely dry. In a large bowl, toss them with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil until everything coats the chicken evenly.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet in one layer.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping them once, until the chicken is golden and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- While the chicken bakes, create the glaze. In a small pan over medium heat, combine honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes (if using), and butter. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the mixture becomes glossy and slightly thick.
- Brush or spoon the hot honey glaze generously over the cooked chicken thighs.
- Return the glazed chicken to the oven for 2–3 minutes to set the glaze.
- Serve the chicken right away. Spoon any extra hot honey sauce over the top before serving.
Notes
- Garnish with sliced green onions, fresh herbs, or toasted sesame seeds for added flavor.
- If you choose to grill these, brush the glaze on during the final few minutes of cooking.
- Pair this dish with roasted vegetables, rice, or a crisp slaw for a balanced meal.
