Description
Crispy air fryer twisted turkey bacon with perfect curls and crunch. A fun breakfast side ready in minutes.
Ingredients
- 12 slices turkey bacon (about 12 ounces total)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
- Hold one slice of turkey bacon at both ends and twist gently in opposite directions until tightly spiraled. Repeat with remaining slices.
- Place the twisted turkey bacon in a single layer in the air fryer basket. The pieces can be close together but should not overlap heavily. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes. Open the basket and flip each piece using tongs.
- Continue cooking for another 4 to 6 minutes until the bacon is browned and crisp to your liking. Thicker slices may need an extra 1 to 2 minutes.
- The turkey bacon should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Cook poultry products to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit as measured with a food thermometer.
- Remove carefully and place on a paper towel lined plate for 1 to 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Cook at 350 degrees to prevent excess smoking and to allow the twists to crisp evenly without burning.
