Description
Crispy air fryer tortilla chips made with just tortillas, oil, and salt. A quick snack ready in under 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 6 small corn tortillas
- Olive oil spray
- 1 half teaspoon coarse salt or to taste
Instructions
- Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into 6 equal wedges like a pizza using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Lightly spray both sides of the tortilla wedges with olive oil spray. Sprinkle evenly with coarse salt.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes if your model requires preheating.
- Arrange the tortilla wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid crowding.
- Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes. Open the basket, flip the chips carefully, and lightly spray again if needed.
- Continue cooking for 2 to 3 more minutes until golden brown and crisp. Watch closely during the last minute to prevent over browning.
- Remove the chips and let them cool for 3 to 5 minutes. They will continue to crisp as they cool. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container once fully cooled.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the basket or the chips may cook unevenly and turn out less crisp.
