Description

Crispy air fryer tortilla chips made with just tortillas, oil, and salt. A quick snack ready in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 6 small corn tortillas
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 half teaspoon coarse salt or to taste

Instructions

  1. Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into 6 equal wedges like a pizza using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  2. Lightly spray both sides of the tortilla wedges with olive oil spray. Sprinkle evenly with coarse salt.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes if your model requires preheating.
  4. Arrange the tortilla wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid crowding.
  5. Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes. Open the basket, flip the chips carefully, and lightly spray again if needed.
  6. Continue cooking for 2 to 3 more minutes until golden brown and crisp. Watch closely during the last minute to prevent over browning.
  7. Remove the chips and let them cool for 3 to 5 minutes. They will continue to crisp as they cool. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container once fully cooled.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the basket or the chips may cook unevenly and turn out less crisp.
