Description
Juicy air fryer chicken bites seasoned with garlic and parmesan. Ready in 25 minutes, these are great for dinner or a protein snack.
Ingredients
- 1 and one half pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 half teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 half teaspoon onion powder
- 1 half teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 quarter teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- Olive oil spray
- 3 tablespoons finely grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Add olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, oregano, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the flour over the chicken and stir until all pieces are lightly coated with no dry patches. Lightly spray with olive oil spray to moisten any visible flour.
- Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil.
- Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer in the basket, leaving space between pieces. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Open the basket, shake or flip the pieces, and continue cooking for 5 to 8 more minutes until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the hot chicken and return to the air fryer for 1 minute to lightly melt the cheese.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and toss with chopped parsley before serving. Serve warm.
Notes
- Cut the chicken into evenly sized pieces so they cook at the same rate and stay tender.
