Description

Crispy and savory fried pickles made in the air fryer, featuring a seasoned panko and smoked turkey coating.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dill pickle slices
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped smoked turkey
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Pat the pickle slices dry with a paper towel.
  3. Prepare three shallow bowls: place flour in one, beat eggs in the second, and mix panko, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and smoked turkey in the third.
  4. Dredge pickle slices in flour, then dip in egg, then coat in the panko mixture.
  5. Arrange coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Spray pickles lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve immediately with desired dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Ensure pickle slices are well-drained and patted dry for best crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Smoked turkey can be substituted with other finely chopped cured meats or omitted.
