Description
Golden air fryer tofu cubes with a light crispy coating and savory sesame flavor. This recipe delivers crunchy outside and tender inside tofu quickly.
Ingredients
- 14 ounce block extra firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Remove tofu from package and drain well. Cut into 1 inch cubes.
- Place cubes on a towel lined surface, cover with another towel, and set a heavy skillet on top. Press for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Transfer pressed tofu cubes to a large bowl. Drizzle with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Toss gently to coat.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and toss again until each piece is lightly coated. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb flavor.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Arrange tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket without touching. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the tofu is golden brown and crisp on the edges.
- Serve immediately or add to bowls, salads, or stir fry dishes.
