Description

Golden air fryer tofu cubes with a light crispy coating and savory sesame flavor. This recipe delivers crunchy outside and tender inside tofu quickly.


Ingredients

  • 14 ounce block extra firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch


Instructions

  1. Remove tofu from package and drain well. Cut into 1 inch cubes.
  2. Place cubes on a towel lined surface, cover with another towel, and set a heavy skillet on top. Press for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  3. Transfer pressed tofu cubes to a large bowl. Drizzle with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Toss gently to coat.
  4. Sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and toss again until each piece is lightly coated. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb flavor.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Arrange tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket without touching. Cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the tofu is golden brown and crisp on the edges.
  8. Serve immediately or add to bowls, salads, or stir fry dishes.
