Description

Air fryer crispy chickpeas with smoky garlic seasoning. A healthy, high protein snack ready fast.


Ingredients

  • 1 can 15 ounces chickpeas drained rinsed and thoroughly dried
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 half teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 quarter teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 quarter teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 quarter teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 eighth teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the chickpeas. Spread them on a clean kitchen towel and pat them completely dry. Let them air dry for 30 to 60 minutes for best crispness.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
  3. Transfer the dried chickpeas to a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Toss again to coat thoroughly.
  5. Spread the chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  6. Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes. Shake the basket every 4 to 5 minutes. Cook until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Let the chickpeas cool for 5 minutes before you serve them.
