  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder (optional, for extra crisp)


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs very dry using paper towels.
  2. Combine kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and oregano in a small bowl.
  3. Toss the dried thighs with avocado oil, then rub the seasoning mix all over.
  4. If using, lightly sprinkle the baking powder over the skin of each thigh and rub it in until it disappears.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
