Description
Make crispy, lightly salted, and naturally sweet banana chips using your air fryer. This simple snack is ready fast.
Ingredients
- 2 firm ripe bananas
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into even rounds about one eighth to one quarter inch thick. Keep the slices uniform for even cooking.
- Place the banana slices in a bowl and gently toss with olive oil, lemon juice, and salt until lightly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Work in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 7 minutes. Open the basket and carefully flip the slices.
- Continue cooking for another 5 to 8 minutes until the chips are golden and slightly firm in the center. Watch closely to prevent over browning.
- Remove the banana chips and place them on a wire rack or plate in a single layer. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes. They will crisp as they cool.
- Repeat with remaining slices. Store completely cooled chips in an airtight container.
Notes
- Use firm bananas that are ripe but not overly soft to ensure the slices hold their shape and crisp properly.
