Description

Crispy air fryer French toast sticks coated in cinnamon sugar. A quick breakfast treat ready in under 20 minutes. These sticks are golden, crisp, and sweet, perfect for dipping in maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices brioche or Texas toast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Slice each piece of bread into three even sticks. Set aside.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a shallow bowl until fully combined.
  3. Stir together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a separate shallow bowl.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
  5. Quickly dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, coating both sides lightly without soaking. Let excess drip off.
  6. Roll each coated stick in the cinnamon sugar mixture or sprinkle generously on all sides.
  7. Place the sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each one. Cook in batches if needed.
  8. Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and crisp on the outside. Do not flip.
  9. Serve warm with maple syrup if desired.

Notes

  • Dip the bread quickly in the egg mixture to prevent soggy centers and help the sticks crisp properly.
