Description

These crispy air fryer cinnamon apple chips are a quick, healthy snack made with fresh apples, coconut oil, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. They are a wholesome, crunchy snack that’s naturally sweet and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet apples (such as Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala)
  • 1 teaspoon melted coconut oil or coconut oil spray
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar or maple sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 300°F.
  2. Wash and core apples. Slice very thinly (about 1/16 inch thick) using a sharp knife or mandoline.
  3. Lightly brush or spray both sides of the apple slices with coconut oil.
  4. Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
  5. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and optional brown sugar.
  6. Air fry for 12 minutes. Flip slices, then cook an additional 8–10 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp.
  7. Remove from the basket and let cool on a wire rack for 2–3 minutes; they will crisp up more as they cool.
  8. Enjoy immediately or store once fully cooled.

Notes

  • For best results, slice apples very thinly and avoid overlapping them in the basket.
  • Apples like Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala work well due to their natural sweetness and texture.
  • The chips crisp more upon cooling.
