Description
These crispy air fryer cinnamon apple chips are a quick, healthy snack made with fresh apples, coconut oil, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. They are a wholesome, crunchy snack that’s naturally sweet and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 2 medium sweet apples (such as Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala)
- 1 teaspoon melted coconut oil or coconut oil spray
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon brown sugar or maple sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 300°F.
- Wash and core apples. Slice very thinly (about 1/16 inch thick) using a sharp knife or mandoline.
- Lightly brush or spray both sides of the apple slices with coconut oil.
- Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
- Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and optional brown sugar.
- Air fry for 12 minutes. Flip slices, then cook an additional 8–10 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp.
- Remove from the basket and let cool on a wire rack for 2–3 minutes; they will crisp up more as they cool.
- Enjoy immediately or store once fully cooled.
Notes
- For best results, slice apples very thinly and avoid overlapping them in the basket.
- Apples like Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala work well due to their natural sweetness and texture.
- The chips crisp more upon cooling.
