Description
Air fryer chicken thighs that are crispy outside and juicy inside. A low carb, easy dinner perfect for quick weeknight meals.
Ingredients
- 4 bone in chicken thighs, about 6 to 8 ounces each
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to help the skin crisp up during cooking.
- Rub the chicken with olive oil, then season evenly with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees for 3 minutes.
- Place the chicken thighs skin side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 12 minutes, then flip the chicken thighs skin side up.
- Continue cooking for 10 to 12 minutes until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer to ensure even crisping.
- For extra crisp skin, cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes if needed.
- Cook chicken to a safe minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees.
