Description

Ingredients
- 1½ pounds chicken tenders (about 12 pieces)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup blanched almond flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil spray
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for sauce)
- 2 tablespoons honey (for sauce)
- ¼ cup hot sauce (for sauce)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste (for sauce)
- Pinch of salt (for sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
- Crack the eggs into a shallow bowl and whisk with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- In another bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken tender first into the egg, then coat evenly with the almond flour mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Arrange chicken in a single layer, leaving space between each piece.
- Spray the tops with oil and air fry for 7 minutes.
- Flip, spray again, and cook for another 4–5 minutes, until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Optional: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in honey, hot sauce, tomato paste, and salt. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Toss cooked tenders in the sauce or drizzle on top before serving.
