Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (6 ounces each), sliced into cutlets about ¾ inch thick
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or parsley


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
  2. Set up a dredging station: one bowl with beaten eggs, and another with breadcrumbs, parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken cutlet into the egg, letting excess drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to help it stick.
