Description
Crispy air fryer buffalo cauliflower bites tossed in a buttery hot sauce. A bold and lighter appetizer ready fast.
Ingredients
- 1 medium head cauliflower cut into bite size florets about 5 to 6 cups
- 1 half cup all purpose flour
- 1 half cup water
- 1 half teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 half teaspoon onion powder
- 1 quarter teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 half teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 quarter teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil spray
- 3 quarters cup buffalo sauce
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
- Celery sticks
- Ranch dressing
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray.
- Whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl until smooth. The batter must be thick but pourable.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and toss until you evenly coat each piece. Let excess batter drip off before placing in the air fryer.
- Arrange the coated cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil spray. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown and crisp on the outside and tender inside.
- While the cauliflower cooks, stir together the buffalo sauce and melted butter in a large bowl.
- Transfer the hot cauliflower to the bowl with the buffalo sauce and gently toss until evenly coated.
- Serve immediately with celery sticks and ranch dressing on the side.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket or the cauliflower will steam instead of crisping properly.
