Description

Fluffy air fryer baked sweet potatoes with crispy salted skins. A quick and versatile side dish ready in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 4 small sweet potatoes about 6 to 8 ounces each
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly under running water and dry completely with a towel.
  3. Use a fork to pierce each sweet potato 4 to 6 times to allow steam to escape during cooking.
  4. Rub each potato evenly with 1 teaspoon olive oil, coating all sides. Sprinkle evenly with sea salt.
  5. Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each one for air circulation. Do not wrap in foil.
  6. Air fry at 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes for small sweet potatoes, turning once halfway through. They are done when a fork easily pierces the center and the internal temperature reaches at least 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice open lengthwise and fluff the inside with a fork before serving.
