Description
Fluffy air fryer baked sweet potatoes with crispy salted skins. A quick and versatile side dish ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 small sweet potatoes about 6 to 8 ounces each
- 4 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly under running water and dry completely with a towel.
- Use a fork to pierce each sweet potato 4 to 6 times to allow steam to escape during cooking.
- Rub each potato evenly with 1 teaspoon olive oil, coating all sides. Sprinkle evenly with sea salt.
- Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each one for air circulation. Do not wrap in foil.
- Air fry at 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes for small sweet potatoes, turning once halfway through. They are done when a fork easily pierces the center and the internal temperature reaches at least 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice open lengthwise and fluff the inside with a fork before serving.
Notes
- Choose sweet potatoes that are similar in size so they cook evenly and finish at the same time.
