Description
Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are bite-sized pieces of salmon seasoned and cooked until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, tossed in a creamy, spicy Bang Bang sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds salmon, about 4 filets, skins removed, cut into 1-inch bites
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup (232 g) mayonnaise
- ½ cup (132 g) Thai sweet chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sriracha, or more to taste
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the salmon bites to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the seasoning.
- In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey to make the Bang Bang sauce.
- Reserve half of the sauce for drizzling later and toss the salmon bites in the remaining sauce.
- Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 140-145°F (60-63°C).
- Transfer the cooked salmon bites to a serving plate, drizzle with reserved Bang Bang sauce, and garnish with chives.
Notes
- Use fresh, wild-caught salmon for the best flavor.
- Adjust the spice level of the Bang Bang sauce to your preference.
- Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
- Let the salmon rest for a few minutes after cooking for better flavor.
