These rich cheesecake brownies combine fudgy chocolate and creamy cheesecake layers for a decadent dessert everyone will love. They offer a gorgeous marbled top and deep cocoa flavor.
Ingredients
- Brownie Batter:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Cheesecake Layer:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking until fully incorporated. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Gently fold into the wet ingredients until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until creamy and smooth.
- Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Spoon the cheesecake mixture on top, then add the remaining brownie batter in dollops.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the layers for a marbled look.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
