Description
Blueberry Heaven Cookies are soft, chewy cookies filled with juicy blueberries and a hint of sweetness, creating a delightful treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (if using frozen, do not thaw)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add granulated sugar and mix well. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Gently fold in the blueberries, and if desired, add white chocolate chips and lemon zest.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden and the tops are lightly set.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Measure ingredients accurately for best results.
- Use softened butter and cream cheese, not melted.
- Keep an eye on cookies while baking to avoid overbaking.
- If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw them before adding to the dough.
